How should the double-gun cable piercing device be used? The double-gun cable piercing device is mainly used for piercing cables. It has many advantages such as convenience, safety, and high speed, and has always been well received by the majority of power workers. However, due to improper operation and use of the piercing device, accidents often occur. Therefore, correct use of the piercing device is very important. In this article, Yitiancheng Electric mainly takes YTC607double-gun cable piercing device as an example to briefly explain how the double-gun cable piercing device should be used.
1. Installation of the nail gun:
Use the cable clamping device to clamp the pre-piercing position of the cable to be pierced. In addition, the first gun and the second gun should be installed with a deflection of 30-40 degrees to ensure the reliability of piercing.
Use the needle to load the nail from the front end of the front barrel and press it until it contacts the piston rod. Then load the nail cartridge, and then install the nail gun properly.
Note: The nail gun can be installed at any angle on site, but the muzzle must be aimed at the cable to be pierced, and there must be no other cables on the other side of the muzzle to avoid piercing other cables simultaneously and causing accidents.
2. Ground wire:
When piercing the cable, connect one end of the ground wire to the screw of the cable clamping device, and the other end to the ground rod or the system ground.
3. Connection between the nail gun and the controller:
Use the control wire to connect the nail gun to the controller. The installation of the two nail guns is the same. The left side of the controller is the first output, and the right side is the second output. If only single-point piercing is performed, the nail gun should be connected to the second output port.
4. Controller operation
a. Turn on the power switch and operate according to the prompts.
b. Pull out the "bolt", then press the "Confirm" key to confirm that the bolt has been pulled out.
c. Select the piercing mode of the piercing device: timing mode or remote control mode.
Press the "Select" key, and the screen will switch between timing mode and remote control mode; press the "Confirm" key in the desired mode to enter that mode, press the "Select" key to exit, and you can re-select the mode.
d. Piercing
The operator should stay away from the device at a distance of ≥1 meter.
If timing mode is selected, the first piercing will occur after 10 seconds, and the second piercing after another 10 seconds.
If the display shows "Operation complete, please ensure the cable is de-energized before disassembling the device", wait for a period (more than 10 seconds) before disassembling the device. (Use a voltage detector corresponding to the cable's supply voltage level to confirm that the nail gun is de-energized before removing the device.)
