Panel Structure of High Current Generator and Precautions for Use

What are the panel structure of the high current generator and the precautions to be taken during use? The high current generator is mainly used for current transformer or other electrical equipment current boosting and load tests. It has many characteristics such as fast test speed, high accuracy, high voltage level, and fast voltage boosting, which is deeply welcomed by the majority of electric power workers. However, before use, it is necessary to be familiar with the instrument structure and precautions for use. This article takes the YTCDG high current generator as an example to briefly introduce the panel structure of the high current generator and the precautions to be taken during use.

Precautions for using the high current generator:

        1. When unpacking for acceptance, check whether the main circuit wiring terminals are loose and whether the carbon brush of the voltage regulator is in good contact.

        2. If not used for a long time, use a 500V megger to check the insulation resistance of the main circuit to ground before use, and the resistance should not be less than 0.5 megohm.

        3. The input voltage should comply with the voltage value indicated on the nameplate (-220V, -380V), and the difference should be within ±10%, with a frequency of 50HZ.

        4. The current gear switch is not allowed to operate with load.

        5. During operation, rotate the handwheel evenly and slowly to avoid damaging the voltage regulator.

        6. The working time at full load should not exceed 2.5 minutes, and the continuous working time should be less than 2.5 minutes, but the working cycle should be greater than 10 minutes.

        7. The current booster shell has a grounding terminal, which should be properly grounded during use.

        8. When the voltage regulator is adjusted to zero, the closing operation can be performed. After the test, the voltage regulator should be adjusted back to zero, and then the opening operation should be performed.

        9. During the test, if any abnormal sound or phenomenon occurs, the power should be cut off immediately, and the cause should be identified before continuing the test.

        10. The high current generator should be placed in a dry, ventilated, and non-corrosive gas environment for use.

The above is an introduction to the panel structure and precautions for use of the high current generator. I hope it can be helpful to everyone.
