Main Technical Indicators of FVG-8/70 DC Test Sending Instrument

Output Voltage: 8kV Output Current: 70mA Power Supply: AC220kV, 50Hz

FVG-8/70 DC Test Sending Instrument is an instrument used to test the withstand voltage capability of various electrical devices, insulating materials, and insulating structures. The process of applying high voltage to insulating materials or insulating structures without damaging their performance is called withstand voltage test. The main purpose of a general withstand voltage tester is to check the ability of insulation to withstand working voltage or overvoltage, thereby verifying whether the insulation performance of the product equipment meets safety standards!

On November 18, the "DC Test Sending Instrument" declared by Liuzhou Power Supply Bureau of Guangxi received the national utility model patent certificate issued by the State Intellectual Property Office. This is the third national utility model patent obtained by Liuzhou Power Supply Bureau.

It is understood that in the past, after a fault occurred in a 10kV distribution line, the normal handling method adopted by Liuzhou Power Supply Bureau was to conduct full-line inspection and use an insulation megger to judge the insulation resistance of the line to find the fault, i.e., the insulation test comparison method. This method is relatively effective for pure overhead lines, but now pure overhead lines are very rare, and most are mixed lines of overhead lines and cables. Not only can inspection not detect cable faults, but also because cable faults are mostly high-resistance faults, under special circumstances, the insulation resistance of the normal section may be lower than that of the faulty section, making it difficult for repair personnel to judge from test data, with a misjudgment possibility of more than 50%.

To solve the above problems, after conducting sectional insulation tests on distribution lines, repair personnel adopted the method of trial sending with the power supply system, i.e., disconnecting the switches on pole-mounted switches or switching stations of distribution lines, dividing the line into several sections, and applying the power supply system to trial send section by section. When the switch of a certain section is closed and the power supply system protection operates or sends a ground signal, it proves that this section is the faulty section. However, this method has great risks. It may not only cause large-scale short-term power outages for users or affect voltage quality, but also cause great impact on the power supply system. In addition, during the insulation test process of faulty distribution lines, the distribution lines are in a cold standby state. Once a user improperly uses a generator and feeds power back to the line, forming instantaneous high voltage on the distribution line, it is very likely to cause electric shock to test personnel.

The DC test sending instrument developed by Liuzhou Power Supply Bureau applies the DC test sending method. The input is a voltage equivalent to the operating voltage, which does not cause any damage to the line, and yields a qualitative result. By inputting 8kV DC voltage through the DC generator, it indicates that this section of the distribution line can transmit power normally; if the 8kV DC generator protection operates during the DC input process, it indicates that this section of the distribution line has a fault.
