With the continuous introduction of new energy efficiency standards, home appliance manufacturers are facing a new round of challenges, and the energy efficiency of household appliances has become the most important competitive factor. In the product development process, accurately measuring the efficiency, power, and energy consumption of household appliances is the prerequisite for developing more energy-saving products. The Qingdao Yidi IDI9300 series power analyzer can measure ultra-low standby power consumption of household appliances. Its unique auto-ranging function in integration mode can more accurately measure the power consumption of household appliances with large current variations, such as air conditioners and refrigerators that constantly switch operating states during operation.
Auto-ranging in integration mode for accurate measurement of appliance power consumption
Household appliances such as air conditioners, refrigerators, and induction cookers frequently change their operating states during operation, causing the working current to vary over a wide range, from tens of amperes down to a few milliamperes. General power measurement instruments only allow integration measurement within the same range. If the measured value exceeds the current maximum range, the measurement result is inaccurate, and manual range switching is required before integration, making it impossible to continuously perform integration measurement on devices with large dynamic current changes.
The Qingdao Yidi IDI9300 series power meter can automatically switch ranges in integration mode, solving the integration measurement errors caused by manual range switching and measuring household appliance power consumption more accurately.
Power consumption measurement of high-power household appliances
Currently, the power of most high-power household appliances on the market is below 3000W. The standard models of the Qingdao Yidi IDI9300 series power meter have a direct current input range of up to 20Arms, capable of measuring appliance power up to 4400W (at rated voltage 220V). Larger current ranges can also be customized, meeting measurement needs without external current sensors. This not only provides users with more accurate measurements but also reduces procurement costs.
Standby power measurement
Driven by consumer demand and energy efficiency regulations (such as Energy Star), the need for measuring standby power consumption of products is increasing. One of the most widely used measurement standards is IEC 62301. This standard requires measuring power over a long period without missing any short-term power events.
The standby power consumption of household appliances is getting lower and lower, such as LCD monitors with standby power as low as 0.5W. The Qingdao Yidi IDI9300 series power analyzer can measure tiny currents as low as 50μA, continuously sampling voltage and current signals in integration mode to accurately measure standby power within a user-specified time period, with power measurement as low as 0.01W. The IDI9300 series power meter is sufficient to handle even lower standby power measurements in the future.
