1. Equipment Connection:
With the power disconnected, use the provided cables to connect the control box to the voltage doubling cylinder accordingly, then connect the ground wire, and finally plug in the power cord.
Note: All ground wires of the control box, voltage doubling cylinder, discharge rod, etc., must be connected to a single grounding point on the test object. They must not be connected in series with each other.
2. No-Load Test to Check Equipment Integrity:
Before starting the test, perform a no-load test to check the integrity of the equipment.
After verifying the connections are correct, plug into the power outlet, turn the coarse and fine adjustment knobs fully to the left (the equipment has a zero-position protection function; voltage increase must start from zero, otherwise it cannot be increased), press the power switch, the green power indicator light will turn on, wait a few seconds for the system to stabilize, then press the start button. At this point, the red high-voltage indicator light will turn on, indicating that voltage can be increased. After waiting a few more seconds, slowly turn the coarse adjustment knob clockwise. You will see the voltage meter reading rise. When the voltage reaches the desired level, release the knob. If the voltage value deviates slightly, adjust it by turning the knob.
Note: If the voltage meter reading does not change, immediately check whether the connections are correct. If it is an equipment malfunction, please call the service phone number on the cover to contact our company. Do not disassemble the equipment without authorization. After shutting down, for safety reasons, use the discharge rod to discharge the high-voltage end of the voltage doubling cylinder before disconnecting wires.
3. Generally, after the test is completed, before shutting down, first adjust the voltage to zero, then press the stop button. The red light will turn off, and the green light will turn on. Then turn off the power switch, unplug the power cord, and use the discharge rod to discharge.
If the above steps are normal, the equipment is in good condition and can be used for testing.
Note: Wait at least one minute before turning on the equipment again.
4. Performing Withstand Voltage or Leakage Test on the Test Object:
After verifying the equipment is in good condition, connect the water resistor, microammeter, and test object to the high-voltage end of the voltage doubling cylinder. After checking that the ground wires are correct, proceed with the test according to the above steps. This equipment has overcurrent and overvoltage protection functions. If the high-voltage indicator light suddenly turns off during the test and the meter reading shows no high voltage, it means the protection circuit has been activated. Turn off the equipment, check the cause of the protection, and after eliminating it, you can increase the voltage again for testing. The voltage increase speed should not be too fast; it is recommended to increase at a rate of 3-5% of the test voltage per second. For test objects with large capacitance, the current should not exceed 80% of the rated value.
