Ten Precautions to Note During Testing of Microcomputer Relay Protection Test Set

Ten Precautions to Note During Testing of Microcomputer Relay Protection Test Set:

1. The microcomputer relay protection test set has a built-in industrial computer and Windows operating system. Do not turn the host power on and off too frequently.

2. The front panel or back panel of the microcomputer relay protection test set is equipped with USB ports, allowing hot-plugging of USB devices (such as USB flash drives). However, be sure to unplug them only after data transfer is completed.

3. To ensure the stable and reliable operation of the built-in Windows operating system, do not arbitrarily delete or modify files on the hard disk or desktop icons. Do not arbitrarily operate, change, add, delete, or use the built-in Windows system, so as to avoid damage to the operating system. When copying data using a USB drive, make sure the USB drive is clean and virus-free. Also, do not use the USB drive to install other software programs in this system.

4. When connecting an external keyboard or mouse, do not plug them into the wrong ports; otherwise, the Windows operating system may fail to start normally.

5. Do not turn off the power directly while in the output state, to avoid incorrect output that may cause protection misoperation.

6. The binary inputs are compatible with dry contacts and potentials (0-250 VDC). When using live contacts, the high-potential (positive) terminal of the contact should be connected to the common terminal COM.

7. When using this instrument, do not block or seal the ventilation openings on the chassis. Generally, place the instrument upright or open the support feet and tilt it slightly.

8. It is forbidden to introduce external AC or DC power into the voltage or current output jacks of the test set. Otherwise, the test set will be damaged.

9. If the on-site interference is strong or safety requirements are high, before testing, reliably ground the ground terminal of the power cord (3-core) or the grounding hole of the device.

10. If problems such as interface data errors or device connection failures occur during use, you can solve them as follows: press and hold the reset button to reset the DSP; or exit the running program and return to the main menu, then rerun the program, and all data on the interface will be restored to default values.
