Personnel using the ultra-low frequency high voltage generator must be professionals with a "High Voltage Test Operation Certificate".
● Users of the ultra-low frequency high voltage generator must comply with Article 168 of the "Electric Power Safety Regulations" and install two obvious disconnection points before the working power enters the tester. When replacing test samples or wiring, first clearly disconnect the two power disconnection points.
● Before testing, please check whether all test wiring, control box, voltage doubling cylinder, and the grounding wires of the test sample are properly connected. The grounding wire of the test circuit should be connected at a single point as shown in this manual (Figure 6).
● For discharging large capacitance test samples, use the ZS special discharge resistor rod to discharge the test sample. When discharging, do not immediately contact the test sample with the discharge rod; instead, gradually approach the test sample with the discharge rod. When a certain distance is reached, air gap ionization discharge begins, accompanied by a hissing sound. When no sound is heard, the discharge rod can be used for discharge, and finally directly connect to the ground wire for discharge.
● When DC high voltage is 200kV or above, even if test personnel wear insulating shoes and are in an area beyond the safe distance, due to the influence of the spatial electric field distribution of high-voltage DC ions, several nearby standing individuals may carry different DC potentials. Test personnel should not shake hands with each other or touch grounding bodies with their hands, otherwise there may be a slight electric shock sensation. This phenomenon is more obvious in dry areas and winter, but generally does not cause harm to the human body due to the small energy.
● The power supply for the ZS series portable ultra-light DC high voltage generator control box is AC 220V±10%, 50Hz. If the power supply is through a 1/1 isolation transformer or on-site self-generated power, one point of the power supply must be artificially connected to the earth.
