MS-310C/5A Ground Lead Continuity Tester

MS-310C Ground Down Lead Continuity Tester Product Purpose

MS-310C Ground Down Lead Continuity Tester is used for

      1. Measuring the good connectivity between the grounding down lead of power equipment in substations and the grounding grid, to determine whether there is corrosion, reduction in cross-sectional area, or disconnection.

      2. Measuring the DC resistance of portable short-circuit grounding wires and personal protective grounding wires.

The reliable and good connection between the grounding down lead of power equipment and the grounding grid is the fundamental guarantee for the safe operation of the equipment. The grounding down lead is the connecting part between the power equipment and the grounding grid. During the long-term operation of power equipment, the connection point may be affected by factors such as moisture, leading to corrosion or even fracture of the node, resulting in an increase in the resistance at the connection point between the grounding down lead and the main grounding grid, which cannot meet the requirements of power regulations, posing potential safety hazards during equipment operation, and in severe cases, causing the equipment to operate without proper grounding.

The issued "Preventive Test Regulations for Power Safety Tools and Equipment" requires that portable short-circuit grounding wires and personal protective grounding wires must be regularly subjected to group DC resistance tests.

The Ground Down Lead Continuity Tester adopts high-performance microcontroller control, enabling intelligent testing process, simple and convenient operation, high accuracy, fast testing speed, good repeatability, and intuitive readings. It is an ideal special instrument that meets the requirements of the regulations, greatly facilitating the implementation of test projects and improving work efficiency.

The Ground Down Lead Continuity Tester complies with the requirements of national standards GB6587-86 "General Outline of Environmental Tests for Electronic Measuring Instruments" and GB6593-86 "Quality Inspection Rules for Electronic Instruments".

      Regulatory requirements

The regulations require that the DC resistance value of the grounding wire should be less than the following reference values per meter on average

Cross-sectional area (mm2) Reference resistance value (mΩ) Cross-sectional area (mm2) Reference resistance value (mΩ)
1 0 1.98 5 0 0.40
1 6 1.24 7 0 0.28
2 5 0.79 9 5 0.21
3 5 0.56 120 0.16

Ground Down Lead Continuity Tester has the following characteristics:

      1. Power supply technology: Adopts power supply technology, outputs 10A current, can work continuously for a long time, overcomes the shortcomings of instantaneous current in pulse power supplies, can effectively break through the oxide film on contact points, and obtain good test results.

      2. Strong anti-interference capability: Under severe interference conditions, the last digit of the LCD screen data can remain stable within ±1 digit, with stable readings and good repeatability.

      3. Long service life: All high-precision resistors are used to effectively eliminate the influence of ambient temperature on measurement results, and the use of military-grade connectors enhances vibration resistance.

      4. Simple operation: Just press the measurement key to obtain the measurement result. The measurement result is displayed with LCD backlight, with intuitive readings and good repeatability.

      5. Easy to carry: Adopts a portable design, small size and light weight. The panel and chassis are integrated into one structure, with good shock resistance.
