How to Configure Test Settings for High-Voltage Switch Dynamic Characteristic Tester Before Testing
The high-voltage switch dynamic characteristic tester is the main equipment for conducting dynamic characteristic tests on high-voltage switches. It is used to test the opening and closing properties of high-voltage switches and is an important basis for judging the performance of high-voltage switches. Before testing, the test parameters need to be set accordingly. In this article, Yitiancheng Electric uses the YTC3981high-voltage switch dynamic characteristic tester as an example to briefly explain how to configure test settings for the high-voltage switch dynamic characteristic tester before testing.
①Speed definition: The instrument has 10 speed definitions built-in (note: these 10 definitions can be redefined and solidified on the instrument using a PC as needed). Select the corresponding definition based on the switch model. If no corresponding definition is found, generally use "10ms before closing and after opening" to measure the "time-travel characteristic curve" and then analyze the curve to obtain the corresponding speed value.
②Sensor installation: Select the phase based on the installation position of the speed sensor. For three-phase linked mechanisms, generally select phase "A".
③Test duration: Refers to the length of time the internal power supply outputs the operating voltage.
250ms: For single opening or single closing tests of general switches, select 250ms duration;
500ms: For "close-open" or "open-close" operations of general switches, select 500ms duration;
1000ms: For old generator outlet switches such as SN4-10G and SN-20G, the closing time is generally greater than 500ms. When performing single closing or single opening tests on such switches, select 1000ms duration;
2000ms: When the switch performs "open-close-open" operation, select 2000ms duration;
4000ms: When the switch performs "close-open-close-open" operation, select 4000ms duration; when performing internal operating voltage verification of the instrument, select 4000ms duration.
④Trigger mode:
Internal trigger: Use the instrument's internal DC power supply for opening and closing operations;
External trigger: The instrument's internal DC power supply does not work; use the on-site power supply (AC or DC) to operate the switch. When the instrument performs closing (opening), the "external trigger" wiring is directly connected in parallel to the closing (opening) coil. When the switch operates, the instrument takes the voltage signal from the coil as the timing start point.
⑤Sensor: There are three options: universal, rotary, and linear sensors. Set accordingly based on the sensor used.
⑥Speed test: If the on-site test is not a travel test, turn this off to shorten test time and reduce test intensity.
⑦Travel test: When using a linear sensor for speed measurement, turn this on to measure the switch travel value; when using universal and rotary sensors for speed measurement, turn this off.
⑧Switch travel: When using rotary and universal sensors for speed measurement, input the total travel value of the switch. When using a linear sensor for speed and travel measurement, input the marked travel value of the sensor.
⑨Test voltage: Set the operating voltage of the switch according to on-site requirements.
Tip: After all options are selected, move the cursor to "Confirm" at the bottom of the screen and press the confirm key to complete all settings.
