Pre-test Inspection and Problem Prevention during Test Process of High Current Generator

Pre-test inspection and problem prevention during the test process of the high current generator:

1. Connect the working circuit according to the electrical schematic diagram. The transformer casing, operation console, etc. must be properly grounded.

2. When the power is turned on, the green indicator light on the operation console lights up. Press the start button, the red indicator light lights up, and the current generator is ready to generate current.

3. Rotate the voltage regulator evenly clockwise, and pay attention to the output current indication on the operation console until the required high current is reached. To ensure test accuracy, a standard ammeter can be connected in series at the instrument terminals.

4. During the test, once any abnormal phenomenon is found, cut off the power immediately, find out the cause, and then conduct the test again.

5. After the test, the voltage regulator must be returned to zero, press the stop button to cut off the power, and cut off the working power before removing the test wiring to ensure safety.

6. The high current generator is designed for short-term operation, so it is not allowed to work under rated capacity for a long time. Especially, it is not allowed to run over the rated current to prevent overheating.

For newly installed transformers or those not used for a long time, measure the insulation resistance between coils and between coils and ground with a 1500 megohmmeter before operation. Only when the resistance value is not lower than 0.5 megohms can it be used.

7. During use, the current generator transformer and operation console must be reliably grounded to ensure safety.

8. When in use, the current should be increased slowly and evenly, and avoid excessive vibration during handling.

9. The contact surface between the voltage regulator and the brush should be kept clean. If necessary, wipe it clean with cotton yarn dipped in 90% alcohol.
