Treatment of ground joint adhesion in titration cell of trace moisture analyzer and maintenance of electrodes and cleaning of cathode chamber:
1. Treatment of ground joint adhesion in titration cell of trace moisture analyzer
If the ground joint connection of the titration cell is firmly bonded together and difficult to disassemble, disassemble according to the following procedure:
1. Drain the electrolyte from the titration cell and rinse it clean.
2. Inject a small amount of acetone around the ground joint, then gently rotate the parts at the ground joint by hand to disassemble.
3. If it still cannot be disassembled, place the titration cell in a 2-liter beaker, slowly add a 5% potassium chloride solution to soak. Be very careful not to let the lead wire sleeves of the measuring electrode and cathode chamber electrode enter the liquid. Soak for about ten hours or 24 hours, then it can be disassembled (this method can be repeated).
2. Maintenance of the measuring electrode of the trace moisture analyzer
1. When the magnetic stirrer rotates rapidly, be aware that the stirring bar may jump and damage the electrode.
2. When inserting or removing the measuring electrode, press the stirring switch to stop stirring, and be careful not to let the measuring electrode touch the wall of the titration cell hole.
3. If the measuring electrode is bent but not short-circuited, it can be used. When repairing, use tweezers to clamp the root of the platinum electrode and slowly straighten the tip of the platinum electrode.
4. When the measuring electrode is contaminated, wipe it with acetone. If the dirt on the platinum wire still cannot be removed, use an alcohol lamp flame to burn the platinum wire ball end (please slowly approach the flame to the platinum wire ball end to avoid cracking the glass part of the electrode due to rapid heating).
3. Cleaning of the cathode chamber
(1) Reduce electrolysis efficiency and prolong measurement time.
(2) Due to the adhesion and absorption of moisture by the contaminated part, the blank current increases.

(3) The titration speed is unstable and cannot reach the endpoint.
If the above situations occur, use acetone to clean the dirt on the outer surface of the glass parts and the platinum mesh (be careful not to damage the platinum wire and platinum mesh). Fill the cathode chamber with acetone, seal the interface of the drying tube with a rubber stopper or similar, shake thoroughly to remove internal dirt (can be repeated). Then pour acetone over the outer surface of the entire glass part to rinse, but do not rinse to the electrode lead wires. If it still cannot be cleaned, immerse the cathode chamber in a beaker containing dilute sulfuric acid.
