Is the DC Resistance Tester Easy to Use?

DC Resistance Tester (abbreviated as: DC Resistance Tester) is an essential instrument in transformer manufacturing for semi-finished and finished product factory tests, installation, major repairs, after changing tap changers, handover tests, and preventive tests in power departments. It can meet the needs of transformer DC resistance measurement, and for large transformers, it can also detect the welding quality of winding joints and whether there are inter-turn short circuits in the windings.

Many people, when first using a DC resistance tester, often wonder if this type of testing instrument is difficult to operate.

DC Resistance Testers are also classified into different types based on transformer levels. For example, testing large transformers requires the GDZRC-100A Large Transformer DC Resistance Test Device, while for testing distribution transformers, mutual inductors, reactors, generators, motors, and other test objects, the GDZRC-10Q DC Resistance Rapid Tester can be chosen. These two DC resistance testers each have their own characteristics and are very simple and convenient to use.

The GDZRC-100A can detect whether the contact at each position of the voltage tap changer is good, whether the actual position of the tap changer matches the indicated position, whether the lead wires are broken, and whether there are broken strands in multi-strand parallel winding. The whole machine is controlled by a high-speed microcontroller, with a high degree of automation, and has automatic discharge and discharge alarm functions. The instrument has high testing accuracy and is easy to operate, enabling rapid measurement of transformer DC resistance.
