Testing Method:

● First turn on the power and let the instrument perform automatic calibration for about five minutes;

● First connect one end of the intake pipe to the instrument and close the flow regulating valve; then connect the other end of the intake pipe to the equipment under test;

● Open the flow regulating valve and adjust to about 0.6-0.7L/min;

● The measurement will be completed automatically within a few minutes (the first sample takes about ten minutes, subsequent continuous testing usually only takes 2-5 minutes; if conversion is needed, refer to data conversion), press the storage key to save data, and repeatedly press the display key to view historical data;

● For continuous measurement, do not turn off the instrument power; repeat the above steps to greatly save measurement time;

● After use, be sure to turn off the power to protect the instrument battery;

Data Conversion

When the ambient temperature is higher than 20°C, if the instrument test value is greater than the standard value (the allowable moisture content of SF6 equipment at 20°C specified by national standards), it is necessary to convert the measured value to the data at 20°C. The method is as follows:

● When the measured gas temperature is stable, set the K value to +0.5 in the measurement parameter menu under the settings menu, and the value measured by the instrument will be the data at 20°C.

● When the measured gas temperature is very unstable, wait until the instrument reading stabilizes, then set the K value to +0.5; at this time, the display value will be the data at 20°C.

● When the ambient temperature is lower than 20°C or when the measured value is lower than the standard value at ambient temperatures higher than 20°C, conversion is generally not needed, and the K value should be 0.
